General Data Protection Regulation, known as GDPR was introduced on 25th May 2018 (replacing the Data Protection Act 1998). This Regulation requires that if a Club collects of shares personal information, GDPR governs how this personal data is used, with the intent of strengthening the protection of an individual’s privacy.

First of all the Club confirms that Members’ personal information held by the Club is used solely for Club business.

Secondly members are presumed to agree to allow some of their contact details to be shared amongst Lenzie Bowling Club members for the convenience of fellow members.

The personal information held by the Lenzie Bowling Club is that provided be each member when they complete their membership application form.

As a convenience to each member we send out annually a copy of the Club Booklet which gives names, addresses, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers of all members. Member e-mail and telephone contact details will also be listed in the Member password protected secure area of the Club Website

If you have no objection to your address, e-mail address and telephone number being included in the Club Booklet and secure area of the Club website, during membership of the Club, there is nothing you need to do. If however you have an objection you will require informing the Club in writing prior to 1st March of any year, prior to annual publication.

NOTE: Lenzie Bowling Club also operates a Child Protection Policy, a copy of which is displayed in the Clubhouse or available on request. This Policy prevents the general disclosure of contact information of younger members without appropriate consent.
